Should I have my hybrid battery pack replaced or conditioned?

Conditioning a battery means that no components are replaced. If any of the battery modules fail to provide proper power or energy, a replacement of non-performing battery modules can fix the problem. Most battery performance problems can be cured with conditioning if they are caught before the Malfunction Indicator Lamp is triggered.

How much does reconditioning cost?

Hybrid Battery Reconditioning starts at $1295 and varies depending on the amount of cells that need to be recharged. Note, not all models and batteries can be conditioned. $1295 price for 2 cycle recondition only. Some vehicles require more than 2 cycles or battery cell rebuilding. Ford Hybrid battery conditioning may cost extra. Taxes and fees not included. Compare to Dealer Costs of $4,500+ for a new battery. Extra fees for each additional cycle recondition and replacing bad cells.

How long does reconditioning take?

While many hybrid batteries can be reconditioned on the same day, the amount of time it takes to recondition a hybrid battery depends on the amount of cells that need to be recharged. In the event you are not able to wait for your battery to be reconditioned, we have car rentals available.

How long will battery conditioning last?

This will vary based upon the age of the battery pack, the ambient temperature, driving habits, and previous care for the battery. Of course all or our reconditioned batteries come with a 2 year, 24,000-mile guarantee.

Shouldn't I take my hybrid to the dealer?
